5G Technologies

This in-depth, comprehensive course provides a thorough understanding of 5G technologies, the latest evolution in wireless communication. Participants will explore the fundamental principles, architecture, and key components of 5G networks.

5G and Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN)

Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTNs) are wireless communication networks that bridge Earth and space-based platforms, such as satellites, high-altitude platform systems (HAPS), drones, and other airborne platforms. NTNs are rapidly evolving and becoming a crucial component of 4G, 5G, and future cellular networks. Their growing significance is attributed to their capability to provide wireless connectivity at any time and place, offering a cost-effective solution.

4G/5G Private Networks

Private Networks or NPN (Non-Public Network) is a network that is intended for non-public use. Private Networks use cellular technology to provide a private, secure and reliable network for organizations. While there are many possible configurations of NPNs, we can define two major categories of NPNs:

Standalone Private Networks (SNPN) when the network operates independently of any public network infrastructure, and Public network integrated NPN (PNI-NPN) when network is integrated with a public network and can be accessed through the same infrastructure as the public network.
